Will you give young people experiencing homelessness the support, service, and safe space they need this winter?

We have a brand new activity here at CTS, our weekly Cooking Group!

Tuesdays at 2:30pm, our incredible volunteer Phoebe is here to offer cooking skills and workshops for young people who are homeless in Brighton & Hove. Here’s what Phoebe recently shared about the group’s activity thus far.

“Whether it’s having a chance to cook a client’s favourite meal, such as katsu curry, or to learn a key skill/recipe, like bolognese, it’s been a great chance to hang out together and try something different. A lot of our clients hadn’t had experience cooking, and I feel they were pleasantly surprised by how adaptable and enjoyable it can be. There’s a lot of satisfaction in cooking a nice meal for yourself and making it exactly to your taste.”

Volunteers like Phoebe make a massive difference in the lives of young people facing homelessness in Brighton & Hove. They help with the day-to-day running of the day centre, and they provide support and a friendly welcome to the young people who come here. Have YOU got what it takes to become a CTS volunteer?
