The day centre
The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a place in central Brighton which is specially for young people who are homeless or insecurely housed.
What it's like here
The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a friendly place where you can relax and do day-to-day things that can be tough when you don't have a place to call home like cooking, showering and laundry.
We can also support you with practicalities like getting sorted with a doctor, benefits and finding a job. The day centre is somewhere you can relax and be yourself. It's warm, friendly and we have a great team of supportive staff and volunteers who can help you get the help you need.
We offer one to one case working with a Support Coordinator who will work with you to identify what you need and how to get there. We also offer help with immediate practical needs like hot lunches & food parcels, warm clothing and access to laundry & bathroom facilities. Access to the day centre now needs to be booked ahead where possible due to COVID-19.
Food at The Clock Tower Sanctuary
A hot, sit down lunch is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays between 12:30-1:30pm. Please note we may have to limit numbers to aid social distancing, but can also provide food to takeaway.
Food parcels will also be available for delivery on Thursdays - please speak to a Support Coordinator to arrange one.
Showers & laundry facilities are available in a limited number - please phone ahead to book, as we cannot offer them on a drop-in basis currently.
Please contact our Support Coordinators for more information about how to access other services at the centre.
We have showers, clean towels and toiletries available for use.
You can do your laundry during and get some warm, clean clothing.
A fully-stocked kitchen
A hot lunch is made here every day and you can make your own meals too. We can also help with a food parcel if you need one.
Computers and wifi
You can check your email, look for jobs, work on your CV, stay in touch with people, register for benefits or anything else you need to do.
We run a different activity every day like music, massage, yoga, fitness and more. Scroll down the page to see what's on.
And one to one support...
Our Support Co-ordinators can put you in touch with other services like mental health, substance misuse and the doctor and help you look for housing, training and jobs.
"The Clock Tower Sanctuary is a like a family, there's nowhere else like it. I’ve done fantastic activities and have really picked myself up emotionally. The food is also life-saving. There were days when I didn’t have much of it while running out of money, but I knew I could come here to eat, take care of myself and others and feel better."
