Emergency help

If we are closed or if you see someone in danger you can still get help.

Are you aged 16-25 years old?

If you're in danger right now or see someone who is, call the police or ambulance on 999.

If you think you might be about to become homeless or you already are please phone us on 01273 722 353.

In cold and bad weather - when it feels like zero degrees, the 'Severe Weather Emergency Protocol' SWEP comes into action and an emergency night shelter is provided by the Council. The SWEP usually opens at Brighton Town Hall in Bartholomews Square, but the venue can change. Dogs can be taken into the night shelter and hot food and drinks are provided. You can speak to someone about this service on 07793 024 862.

An all year round night shelter has opened at St Patrick's Church, Hove. The shelter had bed spaces for 15 people and provides a hot evening meal. Places are allocated by referral from the Council’s outreach service, St Mungo’s.

Are you worried about someone else?

If you're worried about someone, you can let them know about The Clock Tower Sanctuary by telling them where we are, giving them our phone number or sending them to this website.

If you think they're in immediate danger or need medical help, call the police or ambulance on 999.

You can also contact StreetLink - you just need to give them a few details about when and where you saw the person and they'll go and see them and connect them with support. Go to www.streetlink.org.uk or call 0300 500 0914.

"There’s nowhere quite like The Clocktower Sanctuary. You can access food, get help and advice and enjoy great activities and workshops. The staff are friendly and helpful and it’s a good atmosphere where you can make friends.”
