Big City Sleepout, our biggest fundraising event of the year, will return Monday 1st December.
Last year’s sleepout raised more than £44,000 for the Clock Tower Sanctuary, helping to provide hot meals, food parcels, clean clothing, showers, washing machines, tumble dryers, one-to-one support, daily groups and activities, and a warm, welcoming space for young 16 – 25 year olds who are homeless in Brighton & Hove.
This event offers a tiny glimpse into the challenges young people face when sleeping rough (currently about 15% of our clients). It’s going to be a challenge; the weather might be bad and it will be very cold, but we will help you prepare everything you need to make it through the night. We’ll also send you a Fundraising Pack with helpful tips on raising money.

This event is an opportunity to do something big to help raise awareness and funds for people in very vulnerable situations. Sign up today to raise crucial awareness and funds for young people who are homeless here in our city.
Chris, who took part in the Sleepout in 2024, said: “I can honestly say that it was the most uncomfortable night. I was wet and cold throughout the night. But that was exactly what made me experience, in some part, the reality of not having proper accommodation. I had the choice to leave the tent and take shelter. Many others don’t have that choice.”
This event has a registration fee of £10 and a fundraising pledge of at least £304, one pound for every day we provided support for young people experiencing homelessness.
