Provide support and a friendly welcome for young people experiencing homelessness.

A message about Covid-19 from Frances Duncan, CEO – updated Thursday 26 March

The Clock Tower Sanctuary is working hard to support our clients through this difficult time. Since Monday 23 March, we’ve been working with the Council and other agencies to secure emergency accommodation for our clients who are rough sleeping. We’re also working with community organisations in the city to try and get hot meals delivered to those without access to kitchen facilities and seeing if we can get food parcels distributed too.

Following new Government guidance from Friday 27 March we will be no longer be working from First Base and our Support Co-ordinators will be moving to a phone-based support model. We are committed to providing as much assistance for our clients as we possibly can. From Monday 30 March we will therefore be operating a 7 day a week service with CTS staff being available between 10am – 4pm for advice and general well being check-ins.

Anyone in Brighton & Hove who is homeless and aged 16 to 25 years old can call us on 07930 050820 or contact their CTS Support Coordinator directly.

Our clients are currently able to access benefits, if eligible. They can also speak to their Support Coordinator about any additional emergency needs that we may be able to help with from our Crisis Fund.

The safety and well-being of our clients, staff and volunteers remains our priority and we are keeping our responses under constant review. We’ll be posting updates about our services and fundraising events as we know more in the coming weeks. However, we already know that some of our events have been cancelled and more look uncertain. If you are able to consider a donation to us at this challenging time, we would be extremely grateful.

Thank you for your support – it is needed now more than ever.

Frances Duncan, CEO, The Clock Tower Sanctuary
